All that Music....Week 1

Tuesday was the start of Cisco Bluesfest Music Festival in Ottawa. Oh how I love it! The line up of artists once again is out of this world. To think that last year was great with K.I.S.S setting the place on fire. This year its none stop rocking all day, everyday.

The festival site is awesome, the beer tents, and wine carts are all set and ready to go for the next 12days...I am beer cash supervisor this year, and thus far week one was a BLAST!!!

The vendors are once again serving great food. I know I can't wait to get some yummy sweet potato fries, that bomb ass popcorn, and some of that thirst quenching slushy....Oh don't worry there are MANY different choices, these are just what I am craving for...

The festival opened with none other than Iron Maiden performing on the MBNA stage, when I say the crowd was wild, I mean WILD!!! A new addition to the festival this year is the Music & Comedy tent.  The first comedian to hit the stage was Wayne Brady...The line up was crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyy....and the show was even better....

On Wednesday night Gipsy Kings took over the Claridge Homes stage, and rocked the house once again...

Thursday had even more music packed into it. We all got a taste of the Bacon Brother and their 'footloose' rendition when the hit the MBNA stage. This was followed by Steve Hackett at the Subway and the B-52s at MBNA. Bringing Thursday night to a close, and what a great one it was!!

The crowd is always crazy, yet contained...and to add  to this year the forecast has been nothing but sunny...a few showers here and there..very necessary to cool it down...

The night that I have been waiting for all week was Friday....Got to see Joan Jett & the Blackhearts!! That was a classic performance...I love Rock n Roll got the crowd going crazy!!! She did her thing and then some...For the laughs of the night, none other than Louis C.K hit the stage at the Blackseep(Music & Comedy) tent...What a performance!!

And bringing me to today....The whole day was packed with fun. HOPE volleyball Summerfest was banging at Mooneys Bay...Music, food, drinks, SUN and volleyball!!! All for Charity, tell me what is better than that?!! On the concert stage was: Ty Hall and the EZ3, Amos The Transparent, The Johnstones, Hollerado, and Hawksley Workman.

Following the day at the beach, I hit Bluesfest up of course...I misssed the Flash Mob Dance, if only I was there in time to rock out to AC/DC 'She shook me all night long" then Bluesfest would have been SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEter, but sadly :-( I only got there in time to see Metric hit the MBNA stage, and then Down like Webster (CRAZY LIVE!!!!) at the Hard rock Stage...DLW was awesome, these guys know how to thrrow down and perform...Later at night the Flaming Lips and Passion Pit, and Tokyo Police Club took over.  All night things were popping at MBNA, Hard Rock and even at the Byward Market Pop Life Stage...

Flash Mob I will not miss you next year...

Sunday night R.U.S.H closed week one on the MBNA stage. The crowd was crazy insane!!

This first week have me even more excited for week 2...Santana, Marianas Trench, Lewis Black, Weezer, Jimmy Cliff, Drake.....Oh it is on BaBy..Lt the fun continue...

I will be at Lebreton Flats all day everyday...What about you?
