So while on the bus headed to work this afternoon, I overheard two guys talking about how they did not go to Medical school to study history, this is in reference to their history of medicine class.
I'm 29 years old, and maybe I have an old soul, but even so it baffles me that my generation and the one after me does not see the importance of history. Do they not realize that history is life itself?! It's meant as a lesson for us, our chance to grow, and improve.
Yes we have flaws, no one species is perfect, that's why we are meant to learn from the past, preserve the present and look too the future.
It's a shame that all the big bad of history keeps repeating itself, and it's no wonder. With attitudes like these, and people who refuses to look to the past for lessons, guidance. How can you grow? How does this civilisation prosper?
We may survive for the time being and make due in the short term, what about the long terms aspect of it all. One cannot expect to maintain such views and be endless. We are on borrowed time. #justsayin
The future and the present are products of the past.
Food for thought
