...What do you think?...

I do me...

Don't think I envy you because I don't care much for what you do. Don't assume that I am jealous of you because I don't care to see you. My feelings towards you are not that of jealousy or envy. I am simply doing me. I walk proudly knowing that what and who I am is a result of my respect and knowledge of self. You might be his baby momz, but he treats me like the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. You had your turn, now let me do me. Handle your biz and don't hate on me, because truly I am the real beauty....

I do me...

Woman to Woman

Someone will always be smarter.
Their house will be bigger.
They will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their partners will fix more things around the house.
So let it go and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it: The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favoured woman on your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know - she's got the car and the house and the clothes but might be heartbreakingly lonely. So, love you. Love who you are right now. Tell yourself, "I am too blessed to be stressed."Be blessed, lady, and pass this on to encourage another woman."To the world, you might be just one person; but to one person, you might just be the world!"

Please take the time out to read this and educate yourself from black man's perspective. White women's opinion of black women & a brother's response Please take a moment and read this. Pretty Deep! Thumbs up to this black man.
Enjoy.

It seems that an article was written to Sister 2 Sister magazine by a Caucasian woman who requested a response from black men. I'm soglad she got what she asked for (and more) !!!

Dear Jamie:

I'm sorry but I would like to challenge some of your Black male readers. I am a White female who is engaged to a Black male-good-looking, educated and loving. I just don't understand a lot of Black female's attitudes about our relationship. My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. As he said they were either too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy, too materialistic or carrying too much excess baggage.

Before I became engaged, whenever I went out I was constantly approached by Black men, willing to wine and dine me and give me the world. If Black women are so up in arms about us being with their men, why don't they look at themselves and make some changes.

I am tired of the dirty looks I get and snide remarks when
we're out in public. I would like to hear from some Black men about why we are so appealing and coveted by them. Bryant Gumbel just left his wife of 26 years for one of us.  Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, the model Tyson Beckford, Montell Williams, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, Harry Belafonte, Sydney Poitier, Kofi Anan, Cuba Gooding Jr., Don Cornelius, BerryGordy, Billy Blanks, Larry Fishburne, Wesley Snipes...I could go on and on. But, right now, I'm a little angry and that is why I wrote this so hurriedly. Don't be mad with us White womenbecause so many of your men want us. Get your acts together and learn from us and we may lead you to treat your men better. If I'm wrong, Black men, let me know.
Disgusted White Girl, Somewhere in VA

RESPONSE

Dear Jamie:
I would like to respond to the letter written by A Disgusted
White Girl.

Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I
graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men. I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy.
The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our impatience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much hassle. So,they turned to the white girls. Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have become intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control. I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I just want to set the record straight. I want A Disgusted White Girl to know that not all successful black men date white women. Brothers like Ahmad Rashad, Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan,Morris Chestnut, Will Smith, Blair Underwood, Kenneth "Babyface"Edmonds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Rock all married strong black women And, to flip the , there are numerous white men, in and out of the spot light, who openly or secretly desire black women over white women. Ted Danson, Robert DeNiro, and David Bowie to name a few. I just don't want a disgusted white girl to be misinformed Stop thinking that because you are white that you are some type of goddess. Remember, when black Egyptian Queens like Hatsepshut and Nitorcris were ruling Dynasties and armies of men in Egypt, you were over in the caves of Europe eating raw meat and beating each other over the head with clubs. Read your history! It was the black woman that taught you how to cook and season your food. It was the black woman that taught you how to raise your children. It was black women who were breast feeding and raising your babies during slavery. It is the black woman that had to endure watching their fathers, husbands, and children beaten, killed, and thrown in jail. Black women were born with two strikes against them: being black and being a woman. And, through all this, Still They Rise!It is because of the black women's strength, elegance, power, love and beauty that I could> never> date anyone except my black Queen. It is not just the outer beauty that captivates and draws me to them. It is not the fact that they come in all shapes, sizes, colors and shades that I love them. Their inner beauty is what I find most appealing about black women. Their strong spirit, loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering is why I have fallen in love with black women. I honestly believe that your anger is geared more toward jealousy and envy more so than snotty looks. If this were not so, then why do you continuously go to tanning salons to darken your skin? If you are so proud to be white, then why don't you just be happy with your pale skin? Why do you continue to inject your lips, hips, and breasts with unnatural and dangerous substances so you can lookfuller and more voluptuous? I think that your anger is really a result of you wanting to have what the black woman has. BOTTOM LINE: If I were looking for a docile woman, someone I
can walk over and control, I would give you a call. But, unfortunately, I am looking for a Virtuous Woman. Someone that can be a good wife and mother to my children. Someone who can be my best friend and understands my struggles. I am looking for a soul mate. I am looking for a sister and;unfortunately, you do not and CANNOT fit the bill. No offense taken, none given.Signed, Black Royalty

...Don't take offense because I posted this, personally I feel that roles can be reversed when it comes to some women. Black women as well as White women, both have the potential to be strong or weak...It is an individual thing not a race thing... For years there have been an undeclared civil war going on amongst women and men, black white, or what ever. Why? What is the reason behind it all? We are women or men first before we are seperated by race, so why argue over such trivial things, high school things? Love is love should it matter in what package is comes in? I think not, I think that happiness knows no color....

I once read a Zane book titled "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and was angry that she ended the book without stating which of the character is black and which is white, but after thinking about it, I asked myself does it really matter? Both characters found someone right for them, who oved them no matter the color of their skin. They had a reltionship that was defined by love and not race or material possesions.  I find a lot of black women, and I was one of them, always had this idea in my head that the majority of our black men are being held down by white women, when in fact the percentage is less that 10%. So what does that say?  Mr.Right is still out there.....I think so :)

We need to open our eyes and question what we know....

XOXOXO

...No Limitations...Closest to Perfection...

"Someone sent me this and I taught it was sweet. Ladies don't we just wish that all men were like that, or maybe just a hint, hum I know I wouldn't mind those responses ever now and then."

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty, he said...no.
She asked him if he would want to be with her forever....and he said no. She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry? Once again he replied with a no. She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said....You're not pretty- you're beautiful. I don't want to be with you forever. I NEED to be with you forever, and I wouldn't cry if you walked away...I'd die... I like u because of who u r to me.

"Make Her Feel Good" Lyrics

Is there any boys around
that know how to make a girl feel?
that wanna make a girl feel,
make her feel good?
All I wanna know
Is there any boys around
that know how to make a girl feel?
that wanna make a girl feel,
make her feel good?
I just wanna know

Do I have to tell a nigga how to touch me?
Do I have to tell a nigga how to hold me?
Do I have to tell a nigga when to call me?
Do I have to tell a nigga I'm lonely?
Do I have to feel wrong,
when it ain't strong?
keep my mouth closed?
(huh huh huh)
Can't a girl from tha hood find a homie,
that ain't just tryna hang around me?

Do I have to show a nigga I'm a woman?
Do I have to apologize for my emotions?
Do I have to tell a nigga what to say to me,
everytime he wanna get next to me?
Do I have to set a full cat black case?
Stroke cuz he go
(mmh girl no)
Can't a chick from tha hood find a homie,
that wanna do more than spend money on me?

How come I got a nigga but can't trust him?
Why every answer to my question is a question?
Why can't my nigga be my own lil somethin'?
and every girl on my block can't say they don' bumped wit?

I'm so tired of these so called wanna be hard cold pretenders that(have no clue)
Can't a chick from tha hood find a homie,
that I ain't gotta tell how to put it on me?

Why why is it so hard
hard for a girl like me to find a boy
that really knows how to make a girl feel (girl feel, feel)
why is it so hard
hard for a girl like me to find a boy
that really knows how to make a girl feel (girl feel, feel)
I just wanna know

A Piece of Me

This is a poem I wrote when I first started writing poetry...Hope you like

"Ethiopia"

Never been there but I'm sure its a blast
My ancestors once visited this land in the past
Heard its at the top of a mountain overlooking the sea.
Nah! That's just my imagination getting away with me!
A land made of milk and honey
where I can be free
Referred to as Salasi's nation
A place to rejoice and not fight with other constellations
we shall unite as mother and child,
Husband and wife, as did Bonnie and Clyde.
A union so great, much much
greater than a 9.0 earthquake.
Ethiopia my nation!
Ethiopia my home!
How I love thee
and wish I could be...
Ethiopia my home!
Ethiopia my thrown!
This is where I want to be
This is the place I must see!

Full Moon

A woman's beauty is priceless
A woman's beauty is timeless
A woman's beauty surpasses time
A woman's beauty is Heaven on Earth
A woman's beauty is precious

A woman's beauty is endless
A woman's beauty is worth more than oil and gold, platinum and diamonds
A woman's beauty can leave you speechless
A woman's beauty is the only wonder of the world, forget the 7 you hear people talk about!
Like the full moon a woman's beauty can light up the whole world...
If you don't believe me, just take one look in the mirror and see....
Beauty...
