The journey back...hair and all

Game on. I've had natural hair all my life but in the last decade it has lost volume, shine and growth. Same for my weight gain. After years of bad eating and now 2 kids. This belly and excess need to be gone.

So this year my one thing is to take better care of me. Hair, body, mind and soul. Putting in the work cause nothing happens by sitting on the sidelines and wondering what if. #Nahsah

Like always if you ain't jiving, bringing positivity or contributing to my growth. You've got to go go go go go *Beyonce voice*. I am on this shit 366 days a year, non stop. No waiting and giving chances or going back and forth. I ain't got time for that. #sorrynotsorry #Ivalueme

Here I am

Whoa....so it has been 3 years since my last post. I let life take over and writing get away from me.

Well giving it another go...

2 kids and a husband later. Fancyface's take will be better than ever.

Am not going to write a looooonnnggg post to catch you up on what you missed...along the way I will fill you in.

Thank you for being here and stay tuned.

Why can't they actually see?

So while on the bus headed to work this afternoon, I overheard two guys talking about how they did not go to Medical school to study history, this is in reference to their history of medicine class.

I'm 29 years old, and maybe I have an old soul, but even so it baffles me that my generation and the one after me does not see the importance of history. Do they not realize that history is life itself?!  It's meant as a lesson for us, our chance to grow, and improve.

Yes we have flaws, no one species is perfect, that's why we are meant to learn from the past, preserve the present and look too the future.

It's a shame that all the big bad of history keeps repeating itself, and it's no wonder. With attitudes like these, and people who refuses to look to the past for lessons, guidance. How can you grow? How does this civilisation prosper?

We may survive for the time being and make due in the short term, what about the long terms aspect of it all. One cannot expect to maintain such views and  be endless. We are on borrowed time. #justsayin

The future and the present are products of the past.

Food for thought
